INTRASOFT International, the coordinator and system integrator of the EU-funded IMPRESS Project (http://fp7-impress.eu/), in cooperation with the EU-funded project, COncORDE are organizing a joint workshop on the 22nd of November in Athens, Greece.

The major purpose of the event, entitles “Decision Support Tools for Effective Health Emergency Management”, is the joint dissemination of complementary technological solutions and innovative approaches which can improve the preparedness and coordination of response activity in case of large health crises and mass casualties.

The workshop will take place in Radisson Blu Park Hotel (Athens) on the 22nd of November 2016 between 12:00 and 17:00 and it will be co-located with the Annual PSC Europe Forum Conference 2016.

The co-workshop aims to give a unique insight into the future of emergency response. The IMPRESS and COncORDE projects are two related FP7 Security R&D projects, dealing with the development of decision support tools for improving preparedness and response of Health Services involved in emergency situations. The mission of the two projects is to change the health emergency management in Europe by using cutting-edge technology.

During the workshop, individual solutions and complementary findings of the two projects as well as gathered feedback from public health services stakeholders will be presented.

The joint IMPRESS-Concorde workshop includes the following sessions:

  • EU and US aspects of health and MCI management
  • Presentation of IMPRESS and COncORDE project solutions
  • Live demonstration of decision support tools and technological components
  • Gathering feedback from health emergency stakeholders

The workshop is open to all practitioners in incident management and emergency health service providers as well as to everyone else interested in the subject.
