Luxemburg, June 28, 2016 – INTRASOFT International was recently awarded with the prestigious Gold Business IT Excellence (BITE) Award, in the most prominent competition in the IT field in Greece.

INTRASOFT International excelled among other candidates for the public sector project “Digitization of Insurance Legislation & Benefits”. The award was received under the “Extrovert Information Systems & Web Applications/Services” category covering public sector IT projects and eGovernment Policy/digital strategy initiatives aimed at improving the civil service, the functions of public institutions and the strengthening of democracy and support for public policies.

Main purpose of the project was the development of an Integrated Information System (IIS), which will automate the insurance legislation management process, for all Social Insurance Bodies in Greece and their respective functional areas. The web interface created as part of the project, online since late 2015, offers access to insurance legislation, providing several scenarios, interactive “interviews” for personalized information, users’ forum and smart legislation search.

More specifically, the services provided by the portal http://nomothesiafka.idika.gr include: Insurance Law Services and Interactive Interviews, where the system has the ability to ask the users the "proper" questions on specific issues, from which safe conclusions can be drawn. In addition, the portal provides Information Center Services, which include information for the users, such as profile and ongoing projects of the Insurance Body, press releases, upcoming events as well as updated decisions and actions. Moreover, Extended Search Services include the provision of search engine functionalities that can cover the entire range of the portal or can be limited to an individual sector/service and focused on the particular search needs of individual users or a specific level of portal content associated with the insurance legislation.

The project has already contributed to the use of digital technologies for information and secure data exchange and provides citizens with improved-quality information.

Commenting on the Award, Mr. Alexandros Manos, Chief Executive Officer, INTRASOFT International, said: “We receive this award as recognition of our continuous effort towards implementing successful eGovernment solutions globally. Understanding public sector needs as well as the needs of citizens was an important part of this project, and remains a critical success factor for all eGovernment initiatives.”
